Frequently Asked Questions
What makes AguaDios Tequila different from other tequilas?
AguaDios is crafted from 100% organic Blue Weber Agave grown in volcanic soil with the highest ever recorded brix content, which is the sugar content in the agave plant. The spirit was aged in rare Japanese Mizunara Oak barrels, giving it a unique, refined flavor unlike any other tequila. AguaDios has only two ingredients - Water and Agave. Apart from the time it took to age this rare spirit, there are no other additives or tastemakers added. Last but not least, there are only 1350 bottles made of AguaDios Ensamble which will never be reproduced again.
This makes AguaDios a limited time offering and a truly rare experience.
Is AguaDios Tequila available for public purchase?
Due to its exclusive nature, AguaDios is primarily offered to accredited collectors and private groups. A limited number of bottles are available to the public through public Merchants in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Does AguaDios Tequila contain any additives or artificial ingredients?
No. AguaDios is crafted using only three ingredients: organic blue weber agave, water, and time. It contains no additives, coloring, or flavor enhancers—ensuring a pure, authentic tequila experience.
What is Mizunara Oak, and why is it used for aging?
Mizunara Oak is a rare and highly prized Japanese wood known for adding complex layers of flavor, such as sandalwood, coconut, and spice. Aging in these barrels elevates the tequila to a luxurious and distinctive profile. Mizunara is the oldest hardwood on the planet and is usually never allowed off the island of Japan. Only our private relationship with the Japanese government allows us to receive the rare gift of aging our spirits in Mizunara Oak barrels which have been shipped exclusively to our partner, Bainbridge distillers.
Where is AguaDios Tequila made?
AguaDios is distilled in Jalisco, Mexico, the heart of tequila production. Its agave is grown in the foothills of an ancient volcano, a location chosen for its mineral-rich soil and optimal growing conditions.
How many bottles of AguaDios Ensamble were produced?
Only 1,350 bottles of AguaDios Ensamble were ever produced, making it one of the rarest tequilas in the world. Each bottle is individually numbered and signed, accompanied by a Certificate of Ownership, serving as a negotiable instrument for collectors and aficionados.
